What is Craniosacral Therapy?
The Craniosacral therapy is a very subtle, precise and sensitive body work with amazing effectiveness for somatic, psychological and spiritual development.
Their bases developed by the American William G. Sutherland, the beginning of last century, out of osteopathy. In the following decades, Sutherland has created many of his colleagues and more towards a self-Treatment on the effectiveness of comprehensive physical and psychological well-being.
The focus of this work is the physiological system, which manifests itself in our development as the first and the last gives up his position: the craniosacral system. Its structural components include the skull, the spine and the sacrum, including the brain, spinal cord, the brain and spinal cord membranes and the all-nourishing and protective fluid flowing around the spinal cord. This system is in constant gezeitenartiger, rhythmic movement, its various slow rhythms that spread through fluids and tissues are palpated by sensitive touch on the entire body. Sutherland calls these rhythms seen as a direct expression of the "breath of life", a creative force that unites mind and matter.
Physical or psychological processes that are reflected as responses to external or internal situations that are reflected in changes in the movements of the structures and rhythms of the craniosacral system.
How does Craniosacral therapy work?
The work of Craniosacral therapy is the tidal and tissue movements and their changes, and to intuitively connect with them in a dialogue. For this reason Cranioscrale therapy is also sometimes described as the "art of listening".
Craniosacral therapy is combined in the analytical and technical and intuitive-meditative approaches to a holistic approach to therapy. When working manual techniques are used, which are characterized by the most minimal application of pressure to train or support the body's subtle movements. At other moments, the aforementioned "art of listening, mindfulness and presence are available as resource-oriented access to the fore. A deep physical and mental relaxation is felt, and one is reconnecting with deeper and issuing powers. New movement and behavioral patterns as well as new perspectives on current or past situations to arise.
The Craniosacral therapy therefore offers a wide application field, which stretches from physical well-being through psychological and spiritual growth.
